Rebuilding a website

I first put my website together about 10 years ago. I think it was primarily put together by hand. Around 6 years ago I did a major revision and update using Dreamweaver 4 and later version 6. From there it went through minor updates eventually getting less frequent due to lack of time and the gradual minor incompatibilities of a software tool that worked less well with each OS update.

When I got new hardware (iMac 24" 2.8GHz) for updating to Mac OS X Server 10.5 Leopard I decided it was time to completely redo both the site and how I updated it to allow more frequent revisions. It's taken about six months of infrequent evaluations to decide on how to proceed. The site is now based on RapidWeaver (version 3.6.7 at this time). I'm a bit surprised by this because most reviews don't seem to really like this tool. I liked Sandvox but found it's format just too limiting. RapidWeaver allows enough flexibility while still allowing quick and easy updates. Right now the basic content is done and I'll update it as possible. Some of the older content may be added back as time permits.
